Concealed Carry Next Steps
Firearm Training Course
The Concealed Carry Next Steps refresher class is exactly what you need if you haven’t shot for a while, are fairly new to shooting, or want to review some of the material from a concealed carry class. *This is not a Concealed Carry Certification course. If you need to obtain your CCW permit, click here.
In the classroom, you will review the fundamentals of handgun safety, use of force and concealed carry laws, and will discuss some of the realities of defensive handgun use. Next, you will perform a short dry-fire session to cover the basics of drawing a handgun from concealment and loading, unloading, and reducing the stoppage of a handgun. The majority of class will be live fire drills to improve your marksmanship and confidence with a handgun.
You will learn point shooting, sighted fire, weapon manipulations, and methods of drawing a concealed handgun. This is a fun course with some very simple time and accuracy demands to make sure you are being efficient and effective before you move your way into a more defensive oriented handgun course.
All 88 Tactical training courses are built on the core concept of Reality Behavior-Based Conditioning© (RBBC). RBBC was developed from this maxim: “the study of behavior is as important as the study of tactics.” 88 Tactical courses condition an appropriate crisis response that maximizes performance while working with, instead of against, a person’s survival-oriented instincts and intuitions.
